Top 10 Things To Do in Marin County, CA: Part Two

Several months ago, we posted our “Evergreen List” of Top Ten Things To Do in Marin County. We still love everything on that list, do them all! But it’s Marin — there’s so much to do here — we need Part Two. Here are an additional Top 10 Things To Do in Marin County, in no particular order.

Immerse in Sausalito. The charming bayside town of Sausalito is a popular destination for visitors, and we want you to know it’s worthy of a full day’s exploration. That’s why we created the Sausalito Travel Guide. Immerse!

Romance in Tiburon. In the small town of Tiburon, you and your love will plunge into your own little world. It's quiet, undemanding, uncrowded, and offers up easy fun. And we’ve done the planning for you! Here’s our Tiburon Travel Guide, the Romance Edition.

Visit The Proof Lab. If you want to soak in a classic Marin County surf shop vibe, Proof Lab in Mill Valley is a must do. Surfer Magazine posits it may be the best surf shop in the world.

Explore The Golden Gate Bridge. Exploring the Golden Gate Bridge is a MUST DO. We’ve created a Golden Gate Bridge Guide with suggestions for ways to get on, over, and under the iconic span that links San Francisco and Marin County.

Head To The Headlands. Okay, yes. We did include the Marin Headlands on our first list. But this place is vast — and probably worthy of it’s own Top 10 — so we’re including it again with new suggestions. Our favorite hiking trail here is Hill 88. If you can plan your visit around the Point Bonita Light House hours of operation, DO. This spot is called “The World’s End”. You’ll see why when you walk to the lighthouse via a suspension bridge.

Experience Bay To Table Dining. Oysters are a thing in Marin and best enjoyed bayside along Tomales Bay, the briny body of water that helps create some of the best oysters in the world. Three excellent options are: Hog Island Oyster Company, The Marshall Store, and Tony’s Seafood.

Discover The Other Redwoods. Marin County is dotted with Redwood Parks, including Muir Woods National Monument (included on our first Top 10 List). Discover four lesser-known Redwood jewels in our Marin County Redwood Guide.

Tune In To Live Music. You can experience live music every night of the week in Marin County. In our Marin Live Music Guide we share some of our favorite places to tune in.

Bike The County. Mountain Biking was invented in Marin County, so naturally we’ve created a (highly subjective and not at all comprehensive, but still it’s a start) Marin Biking Guide.

Include Some Self-Care. Marin County is pretty much ground zero for self-care. They call us Marin County Hot Tubbers for a reason! Our Marin Wellness Guide covers the troika of self-care: Hiking, Yoga, and Body Treatments.

See you out there!
