1. East Peak Fire Lookout and Verna Dunshee Loop

This is a two-for-one experience at the peak of Mt. Tam. First, the Verna Dunshee trail is paved and flat with spectacular views at every turn, including a walk-out with views to San Francisco. Lots of reward, and low effort. Add on a quick 200 feet upward to elevate your view even more at the fire lookout where you’ll find 360 views of the Bay Area.

2. Tennessee Point Trail in the Marin Headlands

This is where you go when you want a easy coastal trail right on the edge with dramatic natural beauty, open views to the Pacific, and a squadron of pelicans guiding the way.

3. Fort Baker Fishing Pier in Sausalito

If you’re looking for an easily accessible, unobstructed, close-up view of The Golden Gate Bridge, head to the Fort Baker Fishing Pier, located at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito. This special location is a quick drive from any of our hotels, and a must-do during your visit to Marin.
The photo at the top of this post shows the unobstructed views at night. WOW! You know you’re in the right place when you see the sign on the pier, above. Head out to the end of the pier for those unobstructed views.

5. Muir Beach Overlook
